YourFonts.com

I was looking for a website, that I could create a font, of my handwriting. I came across a site called yourfonts.com and gave it a try. It's actually a pretty cool system, you print out a template, and write in the letters in each of the letters boxes. I made the mistake of not following the guidelines, so when I scanned the template into my computer, all my letters were off. I finally got it on my second try.

So after you fill the template out, you scan it in to your computer, and upload it to yourfonts. Give it some time (on average it took my fonts about 1-2 minutes to be created) and you have your own personal font, of your handwriting! Another thing you can do, if you have a tablet, like a Wacom, you can load the template in Gimp, Photoshop, or another image editing software, and write the letters directly on to the template. It's important that if you use a pencil, to make your lines dark. I recommend using a dark pen (like a Sharpie) so that the lines are dark enough and you can insure a quality copy. Before going ahead and making the fonts, I recommend reading all the info on the website, so your font can come out as nice as possible.

Lack of Posting

Sorry for the lack of posts this week, i'm really busy with my final year project. The project has kept me pretty busy since last week so I haven’t had much time to update this blog. Layer Tennis

Don't miss tonite's game of Layer Tennis, today games feature designer Mitch Ansara versus illustrator Rod Hunting, with Matthew Baldwin handling the layer-by-layer commentary. Layer tennis is a series of live design events where two designers volley a PSD file back and forth, adding to the image each time and playing off their opponents work. Dropular

I was really happy to find Dropular last week and already made my account there. Dropular is another social image bookmarking site, similar to FFFFOUND (I’ve been a daily visitor of FFFFOUND for some time now, but I have never been lucky enough to receive an invitation to actually use it). However, where FFFFOUND focuses only on image bookmarking, Dropular allows you to mark videos and link a site. I've been using it for the past week, and have really been enjoying the experience. Dropular is opened the beta sign up for 24 hours today (Monday, Feb. 9), so don't miss it.

News: Easy Navigation

When I first designed and customize the blog I admitted I had no clue what I was doing. I'm really new to blogging. During the first three month, I learned how to hack blogger page and I have redesigned the layout blog twice. I used Gimp to create my blog header..Now PA BLOG approaching six month and with the new year I'm planning to create my own site (my own domain and not using blogspot anymore)-maybe in next three month because i'm still looking for a partner and i had discuss with some of my friend here to combine with me to built a new design site.


If you're following PA blog, you will noticed that this blog have new features and widget such as search box and wowzio widget(i really like this widget). You can click at the widget to see recent article.
