The Facebook Facelift

This is a very cool personal project by Barton Smith of We Are Thinking Out Loud of Sydney, Australia.

Barton took it upon himself to redesign the Facebook experience with a completely revamped interface and navigation system inspired by Skimmer (app for Facebook/Twitter). This design looks much more elegant and stylish than the current version.

The Facebook Facelift is a self initiated project to challenge the form and functionality of Facebook. It's streamlined, structured and linear interface is more comprehendible, enhancing the user experience and absorbability of content. More info HERE.

P/S: I'd very much love to see this as the real Facebook. I hope someone at Facebook is seeing Barton’s work.

Graphic Designer: Marta Cerdà Alimbau

A few examples of the wonderful work being done by barcelona-based artist Marta Cerdà Alimbau, which I came across on Behance a few days ago.

Project: Collaboration for the exhibitions of www.gofonturself.com.au and for the Ship of Fools exhibition "Don't belive the type". I tryed to make a tacky, kitch, vulgar and acid piece, where we can read some lines of the world we are living in. Very aged and retro, as if it was part of an old ridiculous civilization, allready dead. We try to make letters beautful, more attractive, more visible, when many times, consciuos or not, the content of the message we're working on is totally wrong. This is an exaggeration, it's not ment to be a beautiful typographical piece, it's more a personal refletion.
