Grain edit is a cool blog that focused on classic design work from the 1950s-1970s and contemporary designers that draw inspiration from that time period. Grain edit is based in Oakland, California and is operated by a guy named Dave. This site content good articles, interviews, designers’ libraries as well as examples of rare design annuals, type specimens, Ephemera, posters and vintage kids books from Dave's bookshelves. Layer Tennis

Don't miss tonite's game of Layer Tennis, today games feature designer Mitch Ansara versus illustrator Rod Hunting, with Matthew Baldwin handling the layer-by-layer commentary. Layer tennis is a series of live design events where two designers volley a PSD file back and forth, adding to the image each time and playing off their opponents work. I was really happy to find Dropular last week and already made my account there. Dropular is another social image bookmarking site, similar to FFFFOUND (I’ve been a daily visitor of FFFFOUND for some time now, but I have never been lucky enough to receive an invitation to actually use it). However, where FFFFOUND focuses only on image bookmarking, Dropular allows you to mark videos and link a site. I've been using it for the past week, and have really been enjoying the experience. Dropular is opened the beta sign up for 24 hours today (Monday, Feb. 9), so don't miss it.

Process: Digital bokeh + Polaroid format

These are my new experiments using digital bokeh effect in a Polaroid format. Inspiration for this series comes from James White Ancient of Days series and Fabio Sasso awesome digital bokeh style. The bokeh effect are 100% made in Gimp 2.6.4
